Gilbert Goodmate for Pocket PC

I’ve only seen this reported on one site so far, so I wanted to post this in case anyone reads my site anymore. :D After many delays over the last year or so, Z-Logics has released Gilbert Goodmate PDA v1.00. I played the demo and found it to be a very cool game. The puzzle/challenge in the demo wasn’t too hard to figure out, and Z-Logics really put together a nice stylus-based interface for the game. It makes excellent use of the Pocket PC screen.

The game is available until January 20, 2004 for a special price of US$19.95, after which it will go up to the normal price of US$24.95. It’s at PocketGear now, but they don’t yet have it available at Handango. (I have a couple coupon codes for Handango, so I’m going to wait to buy.)

The RAM requirements of the game are perhaps the highest of any Pocket PC software ever, but the speech and music are each optional downloads. Fortunately, the game and its optional resources may be installed to a storage card, so you only have to worry about having 12 MB or so of Program memory available and don’t have to worry about Storage memory. Those with older Pocket PCs with 32 MB or RAM or less may have to get rid of some stuff to free up enough RAM to run the game.

Update
The program used to parse my server logs allows me to see the search terms that people have used to locate content on my site. Since posting this little article about Gilbert Goodmate, there have been several searches logged for things like “gilbert goodmate warez,” “gilbert goodmate crack,” “cracked download,” etc. Come on, people. The guys at Z-Logics worked their asses off to develop this game for us Pocket PC users to enjoy. Give them the credit and thanks they deserve by at least paying for the game instead of trying to find cracked versions.

Well you are right, but If I really want a game I will pay for it.
When I weigh up wether it worth paying for a game against how much I will pay for it gilbert goodmate is not worth it, if the game was $10 I would by it, I payed $50 FOr GTA and half life 2 because they are classics where you want them to work properly.
